Abstract submission

  • The deadline to submit an abstract is May 3rd 2020

  • You need to register and be connected to the SciencesConf system to submit an abstract. It is possible to edit the abstracts until the deadline for submission.

  • To submit, please provide a title (max. 160 characters including spaces), the names and affiliations of authors (presenting author highlighted in bold), the summary (max. 250 words), 2 to 5 keywords, the type of preferred communication (oral communication or poster), and the preferred symposium (symposium 1-13, free session). Abstracts should not contain figures or references. 

  • Abstracts will only be considered if the full registration has been completed and payment is made.

  • Abstracts will be evaluated by the symposium organisers. Final acceptation and type of presentation will be notified shortly after the abstract submission deadline.

Instructions for oral communications

  • Presentation files should be uploaded in each room well in advance, at the latest during the break before the beginning of the session. An operator will be assisting you in each room. 

  • Please prepare your oral presentation in a Power Point (ppt, pptx) or pdf format named “Lastname_firstname.ppt(x)/pdf”. 

  • “Short talks” will last 10 minutes + 5 minutes of questions. “Long talks” will last 20 minutes + 10 minutes of questions. 

  • A laser pointer and a microphone will be available to speakers. 


Instructions for posters

  • Posters will be mounted on vertical panels and must be prepared in a portrait layout (size A0). 

  • Participants should install their poster during registration. All necessary materials will be provided at the registration desk. 

  • Poster sessions are scheduled in the conference program. However, poster will remain displayed for the whole duration of the conference so that discussion can continue during coffee breaks.
